Drivetrain slack

I've started a new job where there's a lot of stop and go traffic, and one thing is becoming more annoying and I'm not 100% sure it was there from the beginning, or if it's more prominent after my last trip to the dealer about a month and a half ago.

Seems that when coming to a near stop, and going again, there's quite a bit of slack in the drivetrain and I can feel it catch. Sometimes it's gentle, and sometimes it's harder than normal.

Last night while the car was on a level surface in my garage, I rocked the car back and forth by hand. It seems to move more than any other car I've seen before like that. And there's clicking sounds as it reaches the end of each rock.

My previous 2006 seems to have this "slack" issue too, but I started to notice it around the 6-10 year mark.

Thoughts? Does this sound normal, or do I have to go talk to the local idiots, I mean dealer again?

2017 Automatic GT with just over 9000 miles.

some slack is "normal" but what you are describing sounds excessive
I'd try to figure out where the slack is coming from -- driveshaft? transmission? rear-end?
or, yeah, take it to the idiots and hope they have a clue . . .
