The brides '18 GT Vert is home.

A little clay bra, a little wax with a bit of elbow grease, and it's ready for the world. All I can say is Wow, the difference between the '13 GT, and the '18 GT is amazing.

I just clay barred mine. World a different that makes. I keep telling people it's worth it, but no one wants to put in double the amount of time to do it.

I'll have to hear your opinion of it after you get used to it. What you like and don't like compared to your '13.

At-a-boy, Jim. She's a real beauty and hopes you and the Mrs. enjoy her for many years to come. Congrats, bud :nice:

Will do Woody. I will say that the car feels tighter, and more compose on the road than the '13. Not saying the '13 was a dog in that department though. I will need a bit more time to get used the ways of the A10, but so far I'm quite impressed. After the break-in is over I can give you some more feedback on the differences.

Thank you brother Rocky. She's quite happy with the car. And with it being basically the same size she good to go there. The safe, and smart package will help her greatly with the limited mobility in her neck. Surprisingly all those little doo-dads aren't intrusive which I like. I gave the lane keeping a test on a lonely back road the other day, and the thing just gave the car a little steer back into the lane. Modern technology is an amazing thing.

Oh man, I feel for her there. I swear I'm not an "old man" but my body sure thinks I am. Back surgery at the age of 16 and 31 just a few years ago. Talk about limited turning.

And we are the Round-a-bout capital in the US. So every time I had to go through one, I had to try to turn my body 120 degrees, just to see if it was safe to go.

Coming out of a '14 GT convertible I have to agree. As great a car as it was, the 2018 takes it to another level. It has a larger, brawnier feel yet it seems more refined and forgiving. The clutch feels a little different and the shifter more precise. It's nimble and muscular at the same time and very well balanced performance. Of course the additional 40hp and more torque plays a part in that. Mustang set the standard with the retro S197 and it improved every year since 2007. But the old school look ran it's course and Ford boldly did a top to bottom re-boot which wasn't without controversy, and it's proven to have worked. I was among the first who poo-poo'd the new S550 in 2015. As a new 2018 owner I gladly eat my words.

I couldn't agree more TB, the car is a joy to drive. Being an old Cop my drivers training taught me to be closer to the steering wheel for more control. In the '13 that put my right knee right on the lower dash which was aggravating at times. Now with the redesign of the lower part of the dash along with the telescoping wheel I'm mush more comfortable driving. And the handling, and as you say the refined feel of the car is light years ahead. Ford did good.

Being the wife's car she had to have the A10. She can drive a manual, but only if she has too. However, I am really impressed with the tranny. It seems to know what gear to be in at all times. And the gear changing is unnoticed when you are just going easy, and quite quick and solid when you want to play.

And I was also one that wasn't to sure about the 550 styling either. So glad I got over that.

Did autocross a few years ago and one of the first suggestions was to adjust your seat forward so that you can rest your wrists on the steering wheel, with your shoulders all the way back into the seat.

I never knew why, until there was a day when I forgot to do that. Right off the line there was a hard turn. I was thrown back in my seat and couldn't reach the wheel. LOL Never forgot to adjust the seat after that.

Looks awesome! The tan interior looks really great with the red exterior!
