Yeah I hadn't added the pic yet and it was just the link so prob didn't notice.. but still great review & it's a non-PP car too.

Okay so he says "When I turn the wheel I know where I'm going to put the car." Well good news buddy, when I turn the wheel in my 2014, guess what, I know where I'm going to put the car. It goes exactly where I want it to go. Heck maybe you just can't drive worth a crap.

Then it was, "In the old car, the front and rear suspension felt like a divorced couple." I'm sorry is that actually supposed to mean something? I sounds nice and sophisticated but it doesn't actually mean anything. Its pure semantics with no real substance.

I'm not trying to claim that the 2015 isn't a good handling car but I'm also not going to sit here and pretend like the S197 was the worst handling car this clown ever parked his butt in. He can make whatever kind of claims he wants but the numbers speak for themselves.

The 2013 Mustang GT put down .94 on the skidpad. The 2015 Mustang GT puts down .95 on the skidpad. Oh my God that is just a world of difference isn't it? It's a fluff piece.

What is it about Ford not been able to tune the shocks/struts properly for the Mustang. Once again this generation has the same nose float as the 11-12 generation (can't speak about 13-14). Even my car with "performance package" had the nose float problem. That is just plain embarrassing. Nothing that a set of Koni can fix but I can't think of any modern performance car that has the same problem.

The stock suspension on the s197 was terrible in my opinion. Way to soft even for the Brembo & Performance Package. A set of performance springs & shocks and is a different ball game. If you read all the reviews out there it seems like they repeated the same mistake. C'mon Ford, it is a performance car not a family sedan!!! They should have their German division take care of the suspension tuning.

I fully agree about the Koni's and a strut brace up front helps as well on the S197. At the same time I'm looking at it from the perspective of someone who has driven a lot of cars. If this guy in this video thinks the S197 was a poor handling car he doesn't have a clue what poor handling is. Compared to the majority of cars on the road even the S197 was a much better handling car. I fully expect the S550 will improve upon that given it's IRS setup and I think once the aftermarket starts releasing mods for it that the S550 will be an exceptionally well handled car. You can tell just by the stance of the S550 that it can lay down some serious handling. But heck I've seen a V6 S197 Mustang push the skidpad numbers over the 1.0 g mark with no problem given a few suspension mods. You won't do that with just any car.

Ruby Red looks amazing based on the Autoblog video. I had kinda written that color off, but it looks great on the S550.

I do agree the s197 could do pretty good with its outdated suspension but with this case of numbers there's a lot more than what you see on paper. It probably was a controlled .95 vs an I'm going to kill myself .94 in regards to driver feedback from the car.

I've driven all sorts of sports cars and do admit the Mustangs outgoing suspension was a little slacking. What was truly amazing though was watching Ford take something like what they had and take it to the level seen in the Boss 302 and 302R. That team worked wonders and now they have given us a new car from scratch.

One can only dream what is up their sleeve. I am truly excited for the future of this car and I would think more genuine Mustang fans would be as well. The car is evolving and I have always loved each new evolution.
