I believe you are too old to buy a mustang. At your age you should really get 2. A convertible for the beautiful days out and a hard top for when you want to thrash around a canyon road. At your age, you deserve to not have to compromise.

El Coyote GT/CS 12/10/13 12:39 AM

And get some really loud mufflers too!

Heck got my first Corvette at 62 and first Mustang at 63. Who knows what I'll get at 70. Go for it...

Siber Express 12/10/13 05:38 AM

No!!! But get rid of the Lexus, that will make you feel old.

To old to buy one? No. To old to drive one yes.... so maybe yes go ahead and buy one and I'll drive it for you. :) 52 here and plan on still driving my 06 when I hit 70 May be a good time to buy a new one. Heck yea get one but if you have the cash get the Jag instead. Did you have other choices as far as a new car goes?

Two members of a local car club here are over 80 years old. One owns a '72 Mustang Grande and the other owns two Mustangs, a '68 coupe and a '70 Mach 1. My next birthday is number 60 and you can see I'm not slowing down. Buy one and enjoy it!

:metal: go buy the Mustang and don,t look back. I just turned 76 on the 5th of Dec. and have a 2012 prem. GT sitting in the garage(m6) along with a 2010 SHO. Always wanted a Cobra so in 2002 bought a 03 coupe ,sold it in 2010 when i bought the SHO .

Couldn't agree more!

Never to old to get what you want and to use and enjoy it.

Maybe too old to grow a ponytail but not too old to drive a pony.

When I consider myself too old to buy a mustang, or any other fast or muscle car is the day they throw me in a hole and cover my butt up with dirt. So he'll no your never to old to buy a mustang.

Might be the best birthday present you'll ever get AND the coolest car you'll ever own.

My wife brought a Mustang into the marriage (1979). I bought one a few years ago (1967) as a car for my kids (ended up selling it for a Camry-thought airbags would be more appropriate with teen aged drivers). I drove one at work (SSP). But the one I bought in April at age 60 is the first one I felt was truly mine. Smile comes up with the turn of the key, doesn't leave.
