2018 options for XM ... radio price is steep.
I have been surfing the new 2018 Mustangs, and one thing I really
like about the one I have ... (and the previous cars ...) The XM radio. ((XM ain't what it used to be, but its paid for :) The sticker price (Note: I did get it at one year old used) compared to comparable current is $4,500 more: 2011 .... $29,580 V6 Premium, comfort package (heated power seats) performance package 2018 .... $34,090, Ecoboost Premium (includes heated seats I think) performance package That is an added $4,500 over the years ... (only 13%?) Before wheeling and dealing, and applicable rebates ... So, I was thinking base not premium, plus two options ... $31,075 Ecoboost base 101A Sync3 (XM/Sirius $2000!) EcoBoost Perf. Package (of course) ... to knock off $3,015. So ... that radio is a LOT. It costs extra to stream the XM/Sirius, so need the real radio. Would it be a good idea to skip the 101A, and wait for a used setup? Or - older threads out there seem to indicate you can maybe add some capability (thing, plus antenna) to get to XM? Aftermarket? Thanks! |
