It's funny trying to come up with a car that apeals to all. It's an impossiblity. I guess that's why cars designed by committees always fail. But I do thatnk you for your opinions and please keep them coming.

Normally I'd agree, but the way Doug's designed it here adds a lot of muscle to those rear 3/4. I love it.

And, Doug, I think the best designs are those produced by a single mind. A committee can only mess things up. Ignore us, and you'll produce a stunning potential '15 Mustang, I have no doubt.

:)

i consider you guys a focus group. so focus away.

I agree with TT's post from before so I think you are on the right track.

SN95 + S197 + Audi + Aston + Evos = S550

One of the best renderings I have seen thus-far, Wish Ford would take your design queues..

ok heres the refined version of the tailight. a bit of explination might be in order.
The very outside and inside of the tailight are reflectors. The centers of the square outlines are brake lights and the outside edge of the squares are tailights. The gray bar under it is the backup light.

Nice! So a bit of a mix between current ?13 style tails, the new raxioms, and new design. I like it!

burningman 11/12/12 04:22 PM

Wow i had not seen the raxiom lights before (just looked them up) HOLY SMOKES what an improvement over the stock Candy cane lights. Glad they stepped up and fixed that. Way to go guys!

Nice. Retro to a different generation. Although I cringe that the SN95 is old enough to qualify for retro

I see the SN95 as the first Retro mustang. It was the first time since the mustang II to have classic mustang styling cues ( pony in grille, tri bar tail lamps, etc)

I like it but believe the gray bar (Backup light) is redundant. The 2013 center of those lights turn white to backup. Why would you need is separate?

isis 11/12/12 10:36 PM

definately getting there doug!i can see some 68 in the lines of the rear deck, mixed with the spoiler and tail lights from the c&d render plus the modern lower fascia from a modern gt500.really nice!!now add the fusion front and the hood from the red candy frontal render with saleen type hood vents.i think this would be an awesome set-up but having no design skills, could be talking out my ***!lol.

Given what we've heard, I think you're in the ballpark..........I love how you've incorporated the C-Scoop (I'm trying to rack my brains to remember of the guys at the market research event said it was there or not on the car they saw)

As I recall, one said it was there but the other described just seeing swoopy lines/contours. I wonder if it's something like the "faux" c-scoop we have now, but perhaps more exaggerated.
