2015 Mustang center console removal
Hi all,
I was just bored this afternoon, so trying to see whats behind the center console of my 2015 V6. Tried to find the instructions online, but came back with no luck. So I just tried the same way that worked on my 2011, and it worked.
Here are some pics while I was doing it, hope it will help.
This panel happen to be on both driver and passenger side, remove them and you will see 2 screws on each side. Take them out.
Be careful while pulling this out. The edge is kinda sharp and give me cut on my finger.
Just like old time, pull from arm storage as hard as you can. They will come out just like this, then work your way out to remove it. Also there's a plug under it around cup holder around. I found it to be the key detector.
You can try to pull this piece out from passenger door side, and work all the way to odometer. There are just too many clips behind it.
Now you will see 2 screws on top of radio, and 2 below the USB port. Will show them in next two images.
Here comes the screws.

Dude, you are my Hero! I am planning to pull all those pieces and paint the radio and center console all magnetic (my color of choice) and a silver finish over the dash carbon fiber. Can you send pics of behind the radio faceplate. Looks like that will all pull out nicely for a clean shot like I did on my '11 Mustang =D
