Warranty Issues

Anyone else with a 2010 GT that has had rearend/manual transmission problems that dealership seems to not want to fix, I mean it has only 6500 miles on it, not to mention front suspension popping over rough roads, I think its time to have a better look at these service departments we have for Ford !!

Tell her thanks, talked to service dept and they told me looking at up to two weeks, tech for this area is on leave, so wont be fixed soon, but is understood of circumstances, should be more than one tech for these jobs, but small dealerships & service depts are more friendly and get good results........just timely !!

Looks like I'm never getting mine fixed, no point in buying a warranty, does absolutely no good, cant get dealers to do anything, guess I will buy a new axle assembly and replace it myself, never again will I do this new car thing !! Wonder if an attorney would help ??

Codes P0743 & P0744

Yesterday I gave my V6 PP with auto transmission a big race and afterwards the wrench light came on. I used my diaplosport tool to scan the car an gave this two codes P0743 & P0744, says something about converter clutch electrical and intermittent. I have a street tune 93 from bama installed on the vehicle and also a CAI and Borla cutback. Since I bought the car I have been noticing a bump when u come to a stop, also when u go from park to drive or reverse. Don't know if the car is simply reporting and unusual driving or if it's serious. If anyone knows something about this codes please let me know.

Thanks

Well well.....got a call today after 3 weeks in the ford service dept. and was told they Will Not fix my rear end, said since the car was lowered 1 inch it was classified " highly modified " so now my opinion is not high for ford at all, got an 07' mustang, 08 f150 fx2 sport, 10' mustang and am now considering trading all in on something different, never again will i buy such an expensive extended warranty of any kind without them putting in writing how or on what specific things they can/will not choose to fix at their discretion, as much as i love my cars & trucks this has pushed me to never buy another single ford.......and this pains me.

They did.....best of all, they would not even fix it out of pocket, not really happy with them at all. Taking it to a chassis specialist on Monday.

Wow! I'm gonna be real careful about who I let ride in the back seat. And if you were thinking about sand bags in the trunk for winter traction... fugettaboutit.

I just got my 2010 GT back from the dealer after 10 days. I had noise comimg from the rear of the car and was not detected until I rode out with the lead technician/shop forman. The end result was the pinion shaft bearing and 2 axle shaft bearings were "pitted" and have been replaced. My GT now rides like a new car! The noise is gone and all of the "backlash" is gone. Props to my local Ford dealer. Now if I could just figure out what the 3rd gear vibration is all about.

Congrats on getting it fixed, I no longer have faith in my local service departments and will never do business with them again. Good to know what your problem was so I can now look into that area as well.
