Troubleshooting blower motor issues

Hey all, recently started having trouble with the cabin blower motor on my 2013 with the base HVAC system - on startup it works and blows on all 4 fan speeds, but after 3-5 minutes I can hear the fan weaken and eventually totally die, regardless of the speed setting. Fan will hen not run until next cold start (or 4-6 hours later, as far as I can tell) Lights on the dash/cluster remain operational, A/C compressor continues to work, even after the blower itself dies.

From my scant knowledge and reading, it seems the likely culprits are the blower motor itself, blower motor resistor, or blower motor relay; is this right? If so, what order would you troubleshoot these, or just replace all at the same time?

If it helps troubleshoot, I did have some water get into the cabin recently on the PS side after the under hood/firewall drains were blocked. Probably not coincidental, unfortunately.
