Is anyone else experiencing this? I had the new version of SYNC installed (V3.1.4) at the dealer and now I find my phone will not always sync properly. 99% of the time it will show connected, I will see an incoming call displayed but it will not play through the speakers nor will it ring through the speakers. 1% of the time it will connect correctly. I have found that if I switch off the engine, open the drivers door then close it and start the engine up the phone syncs correctly.

I have tried this on two other phones of mine (a Blackberry and a RAZR) both doing it. Current phone is a Galaxy SII, all worked flawlessly before and the joke is V3.1.4 (supposed to) give better bluetooth connectivity!!! Done a factory reset on the SYNC also, back to the dealers maybe??????..........

Maybe try a different phone or a different ROM to ensure the problem isn't the car?

My phone is a newer Samsung, a Galaxy Nexus, and be default it does NOT sync well with my car. I had to change the rom I used to get better results.
