Lower Shield/Air Dam replacement

About a month ago I accidentally drove over the edge of a parking block with the right side of my car. I THOUGHT the damage was limited to the partial detachment and a scuff on the right rocker panel. I ordered the hardware to reattach it and called it good. Then I noticed the little rubber air dam was seperated on the right side. It looks like it's basically kind of tacked on using some sort of heat technique or something. I tried to reattach it with gorilla glue. That held for a few weeks but I noticed yesterday it was off again and I just had to reach under and pull the rest of it off.

My question is, is the easiest path to just replace that whole piece? I'm seeing part # DR3Z17626B. Or has someone had this piece come loose before and found an adhesive that works???

You could use the 3m double sided automotive tape, that stuffs pretty strong. But the panel is easy to remove (about a dozen small bolts), so depending on how bad the damage is you could replace the whole thing easily.

Hmmm, stronger than Gorilla Glue? I don't doubt it, though. Gorilla Glue is pretty finicky. The best price I've seen on replacing the whole part is $150. That's no big deal but yeah, if I could try something else first, I may.

The problem with gorilla glue is that it expands a little when it dries. As far as the 3m tape, I've used it on my 08, holding the roof molding down and it never loosened up.

You know, now that I think about it, I think I have some of this that I bought back in 2008 during the gas price/hypermiling craze after seeing a build your own air dam article online.

Guess I'll take a look!

So on further inspection, a couple of attachments on the front splitter have come loose as well. The screws are still tightened down on the splitter part but it looks like there are no connectors on the other side of the attachment points on the bumper. Any idea where I can get these? I'd love an excuse to get a new splitter but not really...
