DRL issue

I recently hit a deer in my 2014 Mustang GT. As a result the right headlight assembly had to be replaced. Now whenever I turn the headlights on the right daytime running light goes out. Both daytime running lights work fine as long as the headlights aren’t on. The only thing I can think of is there is a wiring problem somewhere. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

'If' a body shop did the repair, tell them to fix it...……..

hmmmm . . . are the DRL's supposed to stay on when the headlights are on? Or are they supposed to go off? I am not sure, but the name "Daytime Running Lights" suggests that they are only for the daytime, and I thought they went out when the headlights are on . . . some I'm wondering if the real issue is that the left one is not going out when the headlights are on?

The DRL LED bars on my '13 stay on when the headlights are on. When the headlights are off, if the turn signals are on, the DRL on the side of the blinking signal goes off until the turn signal turns off.

so it does sound like a wiring issue, maybe some kind of mix-up with the turn signal
