Convertible top separating/ballooning

The convertible top is separating when down behind the driver side. Please see attached picture(s). I was driving 60 in the first 4 pictures. The separation occurs after slowing down as low as 30. I didn't look below 30.

I am talking with the dealer (as of yesterday) and they are checking with Ford Warranty today. 2014 with 23XXX miles on it.

I was wondering if this a common problem or am I unique. A common problem will give me more help if Ford Warranty gives any hassle.

Perhaps you should be using your boot. A lot of 'vert owners here don't like them...it can be a PITA taking it on and off frequently. Local driving at slow speeds without it isn't a problem, but on the highway the down top acts like a vacuum without it and sucks up wind, bugs, leaves, etc. I'm guessing that this could be your problem.

I swear by mine. I use it so often that it's become second nature and I can take it on and off very quickly. I think the car looks incomplete without it anyway. I went so far as to purchase an aftermarket faux-leather boot since it looks so much better than the cheap looking nylon factory part.

^^ I agree.
Op, did a boot cover come with your car?
They don't come with them all apparently but mine did as an option.

I like the 3dCarbon hard boot cover and have it on my parts wish list.

The boot was standard equipment on the GT Premium package including the Cali Special.
