Its a Ford part number ER3Z-8276-A
Got mine done this weekend. Didn't take more than 15 minutes.
Opened the reservoir cap to release pressure.
Disconnected the hose from the engine side first, nothing leaked out, not a drop!
disconnected the reservoir side and moved the stock clamps over to the new hose,
and reconnected everything.
Done.
Didn't bother to run the car. as others previously said. it will work out any air leaks on its own thanks to that check valve.

Perfect, thanks for the step-by-step install info. Just what I was looking for.
no problem. I used needle nose pliers and also adjustable pliers. nothing else was needed. Goodluck! his is a really important fix. Ford should have almost released a TSB on this at no cost to us.
What is the part number to the one we have currently on our cars? I found this one and I want to order it but I want to make sure it is the one with the check valve in it.

After several weeks and 90+ degree temperatures, my Mustang is running 'normal' with the new hose with the check valve
Edit: running the same as before

To be honest I'm thinking about getting rid of the car even though I'll take a hit financially. It's been nothing but problems and I see quality issues everywhere. Kind of tired of replacing things that shouldn't break. You might see me in a 5.0 in the future, assuming Ford puts out a quality vehicle.

I don't blame you. I've also considered trading my in for a Z71 Colorado Crew cab, shortbox 4x4. Those trucks are sweet. The only thing that really gets to me is rev matching with this car. its soooo bad. If I push it too much on the highway and downshift or even keep RPM's north of 4k
All I can smell is the clutch. I have owned a manual car for the last 15 years. I know its not me. I'm considering the JMS module and possibly a tune to help clear that up. But, I should have to with a car like this.
