2010 fire hazard - Ford won't warranty
Close, but not exact.

Bottom of pic you can see the fuel lines. Plastic coupling is actually the part to attach to the bracket. Other end of bracket mounts to the tank cover stud just to the right (lower RH corner of pic).

I know times are tough, but why are some dealers so pig-headed?
If they haven't, then they should ALL be made to read the book "You WILL be satisfied" by Bob Tasca Snr. His moto meant that the customer was always right (even when they were blatantly wrong - not that that's the case here). He'd ensure a customer's car was always fixed, even if it meant they dealership were out of pocket. Ensuring customers were happy meant the chances were that customer would return to buy their next car and eventually be a customer for life. He'd even fix cars bought from different dealerships......and pretty soon those consumers would buy cars from him. A long term strategy that worked wonders for the Tasca family.
I'd recommend a copy of the book to everyone.
Sounds like Ford could do with a refresher course.

So whether a part is missed during manufacturing, or falls off later, it is not warranted. Unbelievable, I know. Unrealistic - definitely!
So I've filed with the NHTSA, Illinois Attorney General's office, wrote Mulally, contacted my local press, and more to come. Took me all of 30 minutes to do all - in an attempt to save over $200 for the assembly and any installation charges. And I'm not being dramatic here - I sincerely feel that if I keep driving the car as-is there is the real possibility that gas will start leaking. The lines really do shake and vibrate quite a bit (obviously that's why they designed this support bracket).
Good thing it's a second car - I don't need it for everyday use.
Frustrated Over Repair Denial
Well, got another response from Ford:
Thank you for contacting the Ford Motor Company Customer Relationship Center
regarding the bracket on your 2010 Ford Mustang.
On behalf of Ford Motor Company, I regret the circumstances that prompted you to
contact us. Ford Motor Company is concerned with the satisfaction of all Ford

Stay in contact with the dealer? Yeah, OK.

actually figured it out. Got underneath mine, and then noticed something odd like IMAFORDFAN stated. Then went to 2010 on the lot, and noticed the correct way its supposed to be. Not sure if its a fire hazard because there is another bracket prior to it holding them, but obviously there for a reason. (see pics). I called my FORD, said bring it in, stated there was a TSB about it.
pic 1607 is mine

this pic is on the lot.

So I am still waiting for my FORD to look at the pics with Senior Tech. lol. He said he would call me back today, cause I want this fixed tomorrow, which means that I have drive 40 miles there drop it off, and then leave it there all day while they do that, and also look at the passenger air bag light off acting weird.
Will keep everyone posted on the dealer status of fixing this issue w the bracket missing.

Thanks for posting the perfect pics.
Also, I went to another Ford dealer where they had six Mustangs on the lot. Two of them also had the missing bracket - one a 2010 V6 base and the other a new 2011 GT. They don't know of any TSB.
Hoping you have better luck getting this fixed than I did!!!

We will see what happens, my FORD seems decent, so we will see what happens in the next two hours, going to call them at 3 so i can plan my day tomorrow. Its total BS if they don't. Friggen I will go there and unbolt it off a new one if they dont, lol.
Obviously there for a reason. They should warranty your fuel cell, and take off the bracket off a new one, give that to you and put the fuel cell bracket from the new on on their lot car.

Like you, I'll get one one way or another.
My lines have another bracket for support, as mentioned by you. Still, mine do vibrate a little when I tweak 'em. Not a huge amount, but you know it'll only get worse. I've already driven mine thru a hard Chicago winter - perhaps the snow buildup under the car put some strain on it?!?
Mine's a V6 model, so there's not a lot of surrounding protection like when you have dual exhaust.
I'd like not to worry about it, but since it's the fuel system I'm raising red flags to everyone. Like you said, it's there for a reason.

Def. now what you mean, its should be there and they should make it right. If they fail to do that, then I will go the complaint route, but then try to fabricate something myself until I get a resolution.
keep me posted, as I will with you about the outcome of my battle.

FORD just called me, stated they need to order the part and will call me when they get it in. Said it would take a few days to get the part and will fix it. So..give a few days, we will see what happens as he stated the "holiday" is coming up, even though July 4th is still 6 days away. -)

Good for ya - sincerely! Please let me know if they replace the whole assembly and it does include the bracket, or if somehow they got the bracket by itself. A part number for the bracket alone would be quite helpful, if it's on your repair ticket.
It's apparent that my dealer, that's SPRING HILL FORD IN EAST DUNDEE, ILLINOIS, has a LOT to be desired.

Try another FORD !. Actually try that one you just found the six at. Did you tell them they had some without the brackets on there? Surprised no one has picked that up during inspection, or lack thereof inspection. Its so obvious that it should be attached to something, how do they miss that!
As of right now, I do not know if my dealer is just ordering the whole fuel cell and taking the bracket off of it, or doing the whole fuel cell. I sent email, cause I want him to reply, but he is not to keen on checking on his email. Basically stated appointment, which I find out cause its one bolt holding it on, but then again, he is just relaying information. As soon as I find out, will let you know, and also will try to get part number for you.
