I upgraded to a shift **** from Speedawg which to me was worth it because I wanted a black ball with silver lemans stripes and the pattern in the same size and font as the GT500's. That was about $65. I have never had it get hot even on the hottest Southern California day. I have my top down 90% of the time. I have the Grabber Pony adapter which was about $17. When it comes to 'Man-Machine Interfaces", don't go cheap! It is almost always not worth it!

Thanks! I figure that and the steering wheel are things I will touch every day and making it your own just makes the ride feel more enjoyable! Just got done installing the AM Short Throw Shifter and Steeda Shift Bracket - WOW what a difference. Very positive feeling in all gears! Reverse will take some getting used to but going foward it is a big improvement! As reported before 1, 3, and 5 are much shorter throws and 2, 4, and 6 are shorter but about twice the throw of the odd number gears. Overall good deal! Love the Ride and the Ride will Love You!

Does anyone have a picture of a grabber pony **** in Brilliant Silver? I ordered one in Ingot Silver but the color was not what I was expecting. It looks ok but I guess I was looking for more silver. Once I put it on it seemed to look better. What do you guys think?

Has anyone installed a Shelby Amedican shifter **** on a 2013 or a 2014 Shelby?
I know you have to use a new boot retainer. Before I remove the factory ****, I would like to know if installing the Shelby **** and new boot retainer requires you to first remove the shifter boot cover. Or can you install it while leving the boot cover intact?

Ok --I performed the shifter ball surgery today without obtaining any outside instruction. The shifter boot does not need to be lifted. There are a couple of tricks to getting the original Gt 500 shifter ball off and getting the correct insert screwed into the new Shelby ball. If you have issues with the same install, pm me and I will walk you through it.
