Scoshe Dash Kit

Has anyone heard any updates on the Scoshe Dask kit for the 2010-up cars?

that thing has been vaporware for over 2 years. Ford will probably have a redesign before it comes out.

They probably see that Metra has only sold 20 of their bezels and are gonna jump ship before wasting money.

But the Metra bezel looks like ****. I know some have purchased them based on need but I haven't met anyone that really liked the Metra. I have a few friends that would rather stay stock than buy the Metra. The Scosche bezel looked awesome and they are still patiently waiting for it...

I actually prefer Metra's layout. If Metra had used a nicer display and higher quality buttons it would be perfect. I don't like Scosche retaining the factory display which makes them have to put the double din opening very low.

Found this last night. Its better than the Metra but the placement of the radio isnt really ideal. Its too low in my opinion. But it will allow you to get a aftermarket unit in the car.

That is true. Why is Scoshe keeping the factory display? They should integrate everything into their own display and have it all be touch screen control and eliminate all the buttons.

Would it be possible to just cut the factory bezel and remove the factory radio & controls? I realize that this would be a custom job, but I've seen guy's do some pretty amazing things with fiber glass! Is the sync tied into the radio? On the Crutchfield web site they sell an adapter to retain the factory controls on the steering wheel!

Has anybody modified their factory bezel and removed the factory radio & controls? Anybody done or know anyone who has done any fiberglass modification to their bezels? Could a bezel from a navigation equiped mustang be installed on a non-navigation equiped mustang to install an aftermarket double din stereo?

I am glad that Scoshe is finally introducing, esp. for the Boss 302 guys with the base radio.

The Boss is a base-stripped GT.

No options. So, this dash kit is going to be very nice, for those of us that want to install a Double-Din unit.

why is the boss mustang able to control the base stereo with the steering wheel controls yet our base gt mustangs with the upgraded steering wheel controls is not able to control the stereo with the steering wheel controls? I installed the 18R fleet only option ornamentation leather steering wheel with audio controls. what gives?

I've said it before. There has to be another head unit for the Boss/18R that has a connector for the controls OR if not, there is some harness for the base HU. Someone will figure it out.

My guess is all the HU's are the same. Ford can program what features are enabled like Steering Wheel Controls, Front Sub enable, rear sub enable, etc.
