racing seats
looking at adding racing seats and replacing my 401a interior
a couple concerns are:
my seats say airbag on them
I want the sliders to bolt right up
I don't want to spend much over 1200 for a set
any ideas?
I will spend extra on a bar to mount a racing harness if needed

There are tons of options, I think you need to take these factors into account:
-- Your size (some racing seats are very tight)
-- What will you use the car for? Some seats will beat you up on longer trips
-- Do you need them adjustable?
-- What material (leather, alcantara, etc.)?
-- What color?
There are lots of options from Recaro, Corbeau, Bride, Momo, Status, etc. but this will help narrow down what you need. You don't want to buy a full race seat for a daily driver, it will beat you up. Likewise, you don't want to buy a big heavy seat with tons of features you will never use if you have a race car.

I installedCorbeau CR1’s last year. I spent about $1,100including the sliders. And yes they boltright in. A few things to know beforeyou install. You will lose side air bagsas your stock seats have them but aftermarket ones do not. You have to creat a resistor that plugs intothe harness where the side air bags use to plug into. Its needed in order to keep the SRS lightfrom coming on. I have a detailed writeat the link below. It was real easy todo. You also need to remove the airbladder occupancy sensor from your passenger seat and install in theaftermarket seat. Once again easy to do,just takes patience. Its needed in orderfor the passenger bag to work properly.
