Question about adding a back up camera to oem nav

So every backup camera I'm seeing has the yellow rca cam for video, how do I get that to go to the wires for back up cam input, do I just cut the yellow rca? And use the wires from the cut?

I purchased a rca cable with female plugs and cut it. Connected it to the camera wires at the plug in the kick panel, then connect the camera rca to that. Works great and has the delay feature of factory camera

You will need some type of processor to connect the RCA camera signal to something that can be read and recognized by the OEM navigation. I chose, what I feel, is the most simple path. Hopefully it helps with your project
