Hello fellow pony owners! New member here!
I would like to share my iPad install with the community.

That looks incredible.

I've seen this kit. I was seriously considering it, but I have a glass roof, and therefore no place to put the climate/radio controls. When I last talked to the guy, he said he was working on something for glassroof/convertible owners, but to date, I don't think he has come up with anything.

It does look slick, though.

Please please!!! Ggive us a write up? Fantastic job!!

Mustang259 Jan 30, 2013 09:23 AM

Pretty cool, nice job.

Cool. Is there an android tablet kit? Nexus 7 and 10 are light years ahead of the ipad, especially in navigation.

Edit: Wow nevermind. I just realized you mounted all the AC controls on the roof. That's a nightmare of a project for me. I like it though

As I said, very slick. Love the Star Trek TNG look.

Too bad us glass roof and convertible owners can't use this kit.

These are the guys you got it from I assume?

So how much is all this stuff

jim010 Feb 2, 2013 04:37 PM

Dennis should have his prices listed, but shoot him an e-mail.

I've sent an e-mail just moments ago. But, I might as well ask on this site. Does anyone know a shop which does this install in CA??? I'm certainly interested, but VERY hesitant to any electrical myself.

I know a guy in Rancho Cucamonga that does custom work out of his own shop. He installed an iPad in another friends Chevy 1500. He does great work.

MyStang2010GB Feb 2, 2013 06:13 PM

That's bad-***

2013_5.0_GT Feb 2, 2013 10:00 PM

Looks really cool and expensive. But it looks like once you install it you can't really get your iPad out. Does anyone know for sure.

mfc133 Feb 12, 2013 01:14 PM

I think it's meant to be a permanent install, not a 'dock' solution. It looks like the iPad gets secured to the back of the Plexiglass bezel. You could remove it, but not quickly or easily.
