Interior kits

I'm about to pull the trigger on a kit. The radio bezel and console is red, and I'm thinking of doing the dash in black carbon fiber, or all red. Here's a pic with all red. Let me know what you guys think!

Are those overlays?

I would say if you are doing the radio bezel and console in red, then you gotta do more in red. I am also curious as to what the material is? I would be very cautious with something like this because it will most likely be a different material, and sometimes the mesh of materials will look good, and sometimes they won't. You can rarely tell this from pictures. I have had some Dodge cars where the interior looked good from pictures, but then when you actually get in it and see the car, its cheap plastic and looks it.

So just be cautious of the material, and how it will mesh with the parts that you are not replacing. Also, make sure there is a good return policy, in case it comes in and you go to put it on, and it just looks terrible with what is already in the car.

I would be very curious to see this done from a kit and now custom made. keep us informed on if you do this and how it turns out for you.

They are overlays from carid. The interior on all 2011-13 mustangs look horrible, so I wouldn't making anything worse ; )

Good advice. Thanks! Yeah I just don't want everything to be red, I just wanted some accents. I might just do all carbon fiber.

I don't care for the body color interior trim reminds me of the early 60s and the painted sheet metal dash before padded dash boards and yes I remember them. I also don't like any light colors metal or anything reflective on the dash especially when driving at night. I went with the carbon over lay because I am a slut for carbon fiber totally irrational but I can't have too much carbon. ;)
