Thank you, that does help. I am going to start getting parts together so when the mystery is solved I am ready to follow. I will look for the console today and I believe this is the module needed based on the schematic.

Thank you for your efforts and keeping the project moving forward. If I have more direct questions about the board install I will send a PM.

Here is teh part number for the HVAC dash control module from a 2012 Taurus, which is what I was working with:
CG1Z-19980-C
Heater Control 1
2010-12, W/ AUTO TEMP CONTROL, W/ HEATED-COOLED SEAT
Double check, though!
CG1Z-19980-C

It seems the HVAC are hard to find a used one.
I have gather the info from a HVAC:
2010 = AG1Z-19980-C or G or L, BUT these are discontinued. Not sure why, but I would avoid those.
2011 = BG1Z-19980-D
2012 = CG1Z-19980-C

Is one of these also needed for the revised heating and cooling connections or are the wiring harnesses that lead under the console becoming a hybrid of Mustang heat and Taurus cool?
Look at this on eBay

Not certain this can be done cleanly. I think the Taurus heating element will be required to avoid modifying the OEM pad for the blower. Also, if we go all Taurus seat parts I am not certain the HVAC module will communicate cleanly with the controller in our Mustangs. From what I have seen the Taurus’ with the heat/cool option also have rear seat HVAC controls which won’t be possible in ours.

I purchased the HVAC control module from a 2010 SHO during the holiday break. I will hopefully have it installed in the coming months, too cold in Colorado to pry plastic at the moment. Any updates from @jim010 or @scottwrightF1 ?

Diagram looks good Scott.
The only thing that may be an issue is the wiring does not go to the smart junction box. The wires for the HVAC are supposed to go to the smart junction box. They are MScan signals. This is where the problems may arise.

Sorry, since the baby was born I have not had a chance to do any of my own projects yet. I have the Taurus HVAC module but still have not had any time to test it. Sounds like you have collected quite a few parts so hopefully you have some success.

Congratulations! Your first?
I only have the HVAC module on its way, and the seat module. And the wiring figured out. Nothing else.
For the wiring, as stated before, in the Taurus it has to go to the Taurus's smart junction box and then to the seat module. I am hoping that there is no issue there, otherwise we need someone to build a module to translate the signal being sent to the seat.

Once you get your trial underway, if we need to pool funding towards a reputable module I am in...
Knowing that you have had some issues in the past, I trust your judgment on finding someone if needed

Hey, no sorry. I have been crazy busy and I have not had time to do such things. I am still having a hard time looking for used parts. I may consider getting "new" parts. I was thinking of trying to get the Taurus completed seats and take all the parts off it, but it would be expensive to ship to Canada.
Good congratulation your baby!
Let me know how things go with the heat and cooling setup.

If this is the route to go, it will be hard to find someone that can actually do it. I did know a guy some years ago on this forum (zeroaviation)!, but he disappeared along with all my parts I had sent to him, so I'm very reluctant to do that again.
