I installed an aluminium console trim kit-pics
I installed an aluminium console trim kit to tie in with the dash a little better than the stock trim. I really like the way it looks.
Here's the link to where I got it from.

I like the look. However, my '11 GT/CS has the Carbon Fiber dash panels, and a black interior. I wanted something to lighten the look, so I went with Rosewood, the real stuff. I am old enough to rmember when cars actually had dash boards, and the board referred to wood
The pieces came from Sherwood Innovations, in Canada, and quality wise, are above anything I have seen in the past. I know wood is not the preferred choice by many, but I do like the look, especially, in the sun.

Good question! Is it a great match to the pattern on the upper panels? Also, can you take some pics of the center console? I'd like to see how much gray is left exposed. Thanks in advance!
I really wanted to go all dark again like I did with my last car (switched out the silver IUP panels for the base black ones) but Ford did a much better job this time around - no more looking like a sticker with those awful lines. Also, if I remove the silver on the dash, what about the silver on the steering wheel spokes? I painted them last time, but NOT doing that with this car
The "lightening up the interior" approach is really growing on me. Just gotta find a nice balance between the silver and the chrome so it doesn't get too busy!

I completely agree with you. If I had the saddle interior, I would have done exactly what you did. I just could not find a car equipped with anything but black....these dealers have no imagination when it comes to ordering. I was tempted to use the carbon fiber, but the interior was really dark. The good thing about these changes, we can change them again, and it's not that costly.

I'm not generally a fan of carbon fibre looking stuff but this dash kit looks pretty good.

Has anyone bought the hydrocarbon dash themselves? I'm curious to hear any first hand experiences with it and the durability of these essentially painted parts.

Question, why didn't you use the piece where the SYNC emblem is below the heater controls or the cupholder lid piece?

I don't understand why Ford uses the same steering wheel spokes for cars like the GT/CS. I mean, there's no other silver. It's all dark plastics with chrome accents...and then three pieces of painted silver??
I hate their shortcuts sometimes...
