Make? No. Buy? Yep. JL Audio Stealthbox + JL 13w3v3:

I love mine - produces plenty of bass for me!

I have one of these, way cheaper than the JL box and it pounds:

I paid $599 with free shipping, and that included the box AND the JL 13v3 driver. My local shop makes them for $550 + tax, so it's about a wash, but you can get custom finish (painted, fabric, custom color), so it's up to you how you want to do it.

How did you like the fit of this box? I was considering it as well.

Fit is great, it's about the same quality as what you would get if you paid a custom shop to build one for you locally. Plus it leaves room on the top to mount an amp, so it's great if you just want to leave a small footprint. Plus I can pull my entire setup out by just pulling out a few wires for track days or more space.

Go for it -- after replacing my custom box with this, I am much happier.

Well good luck finding anybody to build one for you for $120, I'm guessing that was your cost to build it yourself?

There is this option on Amazon for fiberglass:
Amazon.com: 2010 and up Ford Mustang 12" Fiberglass Box. Subwoofer Enclosure: Car Electronics Amazon.com: 2010 and up Ford Mustang 12" Fiberglass Box. Subwoofer Enclosure: Car Electronics

I ordered a wood (MDF) Zenclosure that should be here next week. You can specify the cutout opening size and volume if less than 1.1 cu ft.
http://www.zenclosures.com/2005-2013...tangcorner.htm

For a sub I'm using a Dayton 10".
http://www.parts-express.com/pe/show...number=295-510

It should work for my purposes, but I'm not trying to blow the glass out of the car.

Not fibreglass, but I made an MDF one for an old 12" MTX I had back in the spring that tucks away in the same location.

I saw those $80 ones on Ebay and worried that they'd stick out into the trunk space a bit too much. This one has more volume and doesn't take up much room at all:

That being said, it is heavy. It was tricky to make too with all those angled cuts and everything needing to fit together tightly.

I may make another scaled down one for a 10" that'd be about 4 inches shallower than this one. It'll probably be one of my winter projects.

I received the zenclosure last night and I am happy with the fit. Nicely constructed as well.
