Dome light replacements?

Is there a consensus on what are the best dome light replacements? I think the OEM ones are a little too dingy and don't show off the interior when you open the doors.

LEDs or bulbs are fine, so does anybody have a good recommendation other than eBay?

Thanks!

I upgraded the standard interior lights to V-LEDs. A transformation, much brighter.

Currently the red is favorite..

Those are pretty slick!
Each press gives you a different color?

Where did you get them from?

Thanks!

http://www.v-leds.com/ I think that's probably the most common place that people get them. And I believe he's just changed out the bulbs to try them all...I don't think they change color, but I'll let him comment on that.

V-Leds dot com.

Yep you have to physically change the bulbs for the different colours. Be careful though as they are both delicate and expensive.

I adjust the mycolor to suit.

Pull.

lol, just kidding. All you need to do is pull the whole cover directly down, and it will pop out of the headliner. Then just disconnect the harness and replace the lights.

I had to dremel mine out slightly to fit the LED's in mine.

This shows a 2005-9 model but the 2010+ is exactly the same.

Perfect colour match with the ambient lighting.

My V-Led fitted straight in no mod required. The V LEDs are delicate though so be careful, also they only work if fitted with the correct polarity so check they work before replacing cover.

I currently have a white on the passenger side and a red in the driver side. Works well, more than enough bright light to read a map when stopped and you can use the red if required at night without messing up your night vision (too long on ships bridges!). Gives a nice red hue when unlocking car at night.

Oh man thank you! I just did the green in my Legend Lime and Red in my 2011 GT Pace Car.. Just ordered the 5.95 ones as they are brighter for the Pace Car due to the black interior but the color is awesome what a simple upgrade!
