Ambient Lighting Revist

How were you able to obtain all of the ambient lighting? By this I mean how did you get the cupholders, footwell, door lights, etc. I'm doing the same thing to my 2014 GT

Mainly Ebay for doors and Console, and for the front footwells I ordered directly from my ford dealer.

Thank you so much for posting this! I just upgraded to the Premium cluster and am now looking at adding the ambient lighting. The link in the first post no longer works, could you please send me, or a link to the documents? This would make my life a ton easier.
Thanks much!

well, unfortunately my VCMII took a dump before I could try to reprogram the BCM-B module to activate ambient lighting.
LUCKILY I found one from a 2010 v6 premium that of course had Ambient Lightning as well as reverse sensors, though my car is a 2013 GT without reverse sensors - thanks to "awoychoski123" i knew the bcm-b would work in my car and got it for about 65$.
I was able make wire harnesses with molex connectors for each zone and use the female pin connectors with some heat shrink wire wrap to insulate each female pin to prevent any shorting since i do not have a pigtail for the BCM-B module. I wish I could have used the "LED RET" ground but was not able to pin that one so I just made a single ground wire that connects to all 3 harnesses for the 3 zones.
the setup works great! If anyone has a part number for a pigtail harness on the BMC-B module for the gray connector, that would be awesome!
Everything works great! I just wonder if i have my zones setup right. ive got 1 zone for cup holder and footwells. another zone for doors, and another zone for footwells. I dont know exactly which zone is meant to go where and i think i had figured it out in some of my documentation i had written for myself but would definitely like some confirmation.
Thanks awoychosky123 and everyone else for all of the help in converting my setup to use the gauge cluster like its supposed to.
Byock, tomorow afternoon I'll post some stuff to help you if no one else does.

without premium cluster
How did you do it before you had the premium cluster? I'll worry about the mycolor when my premium cluster comes through. But what did you do to get it to a set color without the premium module?

I don't think you can without the LCD cluster. To change the light color and brightness you need to go through the new cluster.

To anyone that is wondering, I figured out why I couldn't program my BCM-B. You cannot program a base model BCM-B with premium options like ambient lighting and proximity sensors. I was able to program the BCM-B that I picked up for this project recently to accept the proximity sensors. (My next big project other than my glass roof is to add the rear park assist (all programmed just waiting on parts) and add the security package proximity sensor.)
So long story short once you have a premium model BCM-B you can program it with premium as-built but you can't program a base model with premium as-built.

The BCM-B is in the trunk passanger side where the factory sub would be at. You take the panel out and there should be a brace with the bcm-b mounted to it. The one in the kick panel.os the BCM/SJB

Gotcha, all I'm seeing on ebay is the fuse box and an ambient lighting ECM which looks like it's for aftermarket install? I got my gauge cluster working perfectly fine with just a simple forscan process, I haven't tackled the rest of the ambient lighting yet because I'm not sure what all I need to make it work 😩
