Awesome thanks Muskoka you rule. I will do that tonight. Hopefully I can get this working
|
Hey guys I think I messed. I just finished putting the dash back I went to install the wheel and accidently grabbed it the wrong way and heard click. And now the wheel doesn't turn anymore. I think I messed up the clock spring how much does it cost to fix this up. :(
|
Without the key in?
That is normal. It'll lock into position. Just put the key in and turn it to ON and it'll unlock. If you can't turn the key, move the SW a bit to the left or right(it should still have a BIT of play), until you can turn the key. |
I had the all steering wheel and upper shaft disconnected. So I think I'm screwed
|
Continue to finish installing. Once the dash is plugged back in and powered up, just turn the key to on as Boomer said. Should be fine. Locked on me too.
|
Thank god. Dash is in. Dual climate is setup. All I need to do is continue the installation. Hopefully everything works.

Hey Muskoka When I installed the passenger actuator you told me to use a screw driver to rotate the door actuator on the plenum. I didn't have to use a screw driver. I Just rotated the flap on the plenum and it rotated it. Also on the passenger actuator there's a little directional arrow that didn't line up should that have been lined up. I have a feeling that that wasn't lined up because when I turned of my car in the beginning of the all install. I might have had my fan blowing. It installed perfectly but not sure if it needed to be lined up.

Hi
Rotate the door actuator ( on the plenum, that connects with the motor) with a screw driver, insert the motor until the three holes line up, screw in the three screws. This is what I have. It will be the first thing I do tomorrow the dash is already out. |
Hi Trevor
It appears that you have a dual zone plenum with the drivers side door actuator motor all ready installed. So you have every thing that you need to convert the single zone to a dual zone. ( as long as there are two motors on the other side) |

The motor is already mounted therefore just install the plenum and wire it and you should be good.

Okay guys, everything is installed, climate control seems to work as it should, one problem. Don't have a signal for gps. It says nav has detected a fault bla bla bla. So Im stuck. Don't know if i need an antenna or what. Everything is plugged in and didn't seem like we are missing and plugs or anything. Any suggestions? Oh I don't have the amp installed yet. That will be Monday or Tuesday. Do have sound but it sucks lol. Thanks guys
|
I did it guys I have Nav system with Dual climate it is awesome:metal: I do not need an amp. So it's true 2013-2014 mustangs don't need an amp. My cars sound as as actually gone better. Everything works fine. I even jave a shelby navi lol. Thanks to Jim and Muskoka for pioneeing all this and thanks everyone else for chiming in on advice. All mustangs should be navi equipped. I want to lnow where the amp is in my car I been trying to look for it but no luck. Pictures are coming soon. Dual climate is awesome. Also guys is the a difference in 2010-2012 navs and 2013-2014 navs. My friend has a 2013 mustang with navi and when he goes to the phone menu he had sync apps. I don't see that option on my navi?

You will need a couple of extra cables for those to get them to work. The radio and Sirius work fine one you have them hooked up. They are not part of the main dash harness. I think you can reuse the cables off of the old harness, if I remember right.

You need numbers 5, 6 and 7 in the diagram below.
These MAY already be on your harness if you got it from the wrecker. If you bought it new, they are probably not included. [ 5 ] ELECTRICAL / ELECTRICAL / NAVIGATION SYSTEM COMPONENTS / Antenna $34.44 [ 6 ] ELECTRICAL / ELECTRICAL / NAVIGATION SYSTEM COMPONENTS / Cable cable $57.87 [ 7 ] ELECTRICAL / ELECTRICAL / NAVIGATION SYSTEM COMPONENTS / Antenna cable $29.70 |

Hey trevorgt all I remember is there where two wires for antenna which was three way cable and the other black cable. I think #5 refers to whatever you already have in your car.

Here you guys pics of my finished nave and dual climate. Also there is a difference in the 2010-2012 navs and the 2013-2014 navs. The difference is 2010-2012 have no sync app link options in the phone menu. The 2013-2014 do have that option. 2013-2014 don't need amps. They already come installed.
