I'm sure you could get the unit powered on and get some things to function, But the problem I believe mainly lies in the difference of the other modules in the car and fitment issues in our dash. But you could probably get the radio to do a good amount of things. Sound, Sat radio, Nav? maybe, I dont think Bluetooth would work.

I dont really know, I have only heard horror stories about it, So I dont think I would poke it with a 10' pole. But each to their own.

Don't do it! My wife has My Touch in her Edge, and it controls everything. Very distracting to use while driving, especially climate controls.

The touchscreen systems from 2013-2015 are the same - Sync w/ MyFordTouch. 2016+ have Sync 3, which is totally new, built on Blackberry QNX and not Microsoft's architecture and far better. But getting it retrofitted would be insanely hard - just buy an aftermarket touchscreen unit with CarPlay/Android Auto capability.

So I want to have CarPlay but the aftermarket options just donīt look good in my opinion. Sync3 would be a dream since the screen would look OEM and the CarPlay integration is flawless. Any idea on how to get this working? Otherwise, is there really any 8 inches aftermarket unit that would fit like OEM?
