2010 base to gt500 steering wheel and sync swap.
 

I finally got around to doing the swap. I found the wheel at for 177 and change http://www.levittownfordsupercenter.com/ford-mustang-steering-wheel-gt500-p-1231.html

I got a shaker ACM off ebay from a 2013 for 29.99
I didn't need to have it reprogrammed. Works like a charm.

I did get a sync module of eBay also but it didn't say what year of mustang it came from. I'm a little concerned that it will work. I am hoping it does. I still need to get the harness for it.

So I got a second sync module from a 2013. I don't have any harnesses. Should I get on of those sync add on kits just for the harness. I know I still need the mirror for the mic. And the harness for it. Will I still have to take it to the dealership and have the as build put in. I don't think the dealers here in indy will preform that here.

I got one of sync modules in today. I'm trying to figure out what year it came from from the part number. If I recall the first letter is the year. So A = 2010 B = 2011 and so forth. It is DR3T-14B428-AA
making it a module from a 2013. It also has a white sticker on the back that has MY2013 S197. Can someone verify this?

The other is AR3T-14B428-BE

but the guy said he pulled it from a 2013..so I'm confused and I'm not sure what the difference between the AA and BE mean

I can't believe that GT 500 wheel is still climbing in price. I posted the Levittown link when the wheels were $155.00 a few months ago. Still a better price than the other dealers and eBay crooks.

So i got sync in but had some issues with voice and phone button. I just called a dealer about 40 mins from my house and talked to the service manager. I told him what I was doing and wanted to get the acm flashed to work with sync. He tells me that sync and the acm doesn't have anything to do with each other. But he would flash the acm if I had the asbuild. But he said it won't work...I think he is full of it. Cause the acm does have to work in conjunction with sync. I may just hold off and get one of the vcm clones and do it myself
