Nice!
I agree with you as well about the rubber to wheel ratio. Here's mine with the factory 17" BFG tires and cheap no-name Bullitt's from America's Tire. Center caps are courtesy eBay:
Dirty wheels & tires lol:

Looks awesome. What about some black lug nuts?

Ordie do you recall what your rear offset is?
on LateModelResto, they list that the 10" rears are a 45mm offset..
on TireRack, they list that they 10" rears are a 34mm offset.
I checked (I have one of the wheels sitting in my office) and my rears are a 34mm offset. Other than that meaning I have a 1/2" deeper dish to the rear lip, that also tells me that the wheel is also outboard more, and seeing how far out yours is concerns me.

Yea 50restos site is wrong. What I listed above was confimred by American Racing Wheels themselves. I emailed and called them myself
Email from Luke at American Racing]
The part number on the wheels ends in an SS. They were actually designed to fit the SS Camaro and their brakes. Its why they stick out just a tad on the Mustangs in the rear.

Hi Greg, thanks for the e-mail, and sorry for the late reply. On Mustang GT’s using Brembo’s, and on all GT500’s, the normal M will not clear. However, certain Torq-Thrust M 105/605’s that have SS towards the end of the part number will clear the brakes, and their part numbers are as follows:
(Front) AR105M28566SSA (Anthracite Grey) AR105M28566SSB (Gloss Black) AR605M28566SSC (Chrome)
(Rear) AR105M2166SSA (Anthracite Grey) AR105M2166SSB (Gloss Black) AR605M2166SSC (Chrome)
For the 20x8.5’s, the backspacing is 6.01 inches, and the offset is +32 millimeters.
For the 20x10’s, the backspacing is 6.84 inches, and the offset is +34 millimeters

I don't remember seeing them there. I just answered where I found them at..
I just looked.. 50resto is $40 cheaper and free shipping
and they dont have a staggered set just the 8.5"
I wonder if I can find a local service that could knock off a mm or 2 from the mounting surface so the wheels sit flush.

I sent Luke at American Racing (Wheelpros LLC) an email with my feedback about the fitment of the wheels along with the same pics I posted here.
I suggested changing the offset by about 1 or 2 mm so the wheels tuck in a tad bit more. If my thinking is correct, making them +36 would tuck better. (offset still confuses me, so I could have it backwards)
I also asked if it was possible or recommended (for material strength) to have a machine shop remove about 1 or 2 mm from the mounting surface for better fitment. I don't mind how they fit now but only because the actual tread of the tire is still under the wheel well. I wouldn't be able to use these if I went with wider tires or they would stick out.

Im thinking the best bet would be to shave a few mm off the mounting surface. If I can do that and not affect the soundness of the wheel that's what I will do. I mean people can add width to a wheel Im not sure why you couldnt shave a mm or so from it,

Looking at my wheel and where the lugs mount, you could maybe shave up to 6mm (1/4") at the most, but realistically, they should be selling this wheel in a better offset for the rears.

Problem with 6mm is where will that put the inside of the wheel/tire. But thats probably what would have to happen in order to do a 295 or larger and still get under the fender.
I wonder if theres someone out there that has a 10" wheel with 295s or larger on it.. see how much they bulge out over the lip of the wheel.
