Just got it installed today figured Id show a few pics. I've been thinking about carbon fiber or black hood vents. Any thoughts on if it would be overkill?

Looks great man. Do you have any black on the car at all? If you do, I would do the black hood vents.

Thanks. No I haven't done any black on the car. Only black is just the factory stuff like the decklid panel.

Unless the lighting in your photo is playing tricks on me, I see that you have a gray Mustang. I have carbon fiber hood vents on my Sterling Gray GT. Up close, the carbon fiber pattern is very cool. At a distance though, it doesn't provide much contrast against a gray hood (see my profile pics). I think it works okay on my car because I have gloss black racing stripes, so there wasn't much need to add even more deep black to my hood.
In your case, I'd probably go with black vents, unless you are looking for a more subtle contrast effect. Deep black accents look great on a gray car (my opinion, anyway).
You could always Plasti-Dip them first and see how you like the look.

You should get the black billet grille then do black vents on the hood

I see what you mean Lothar, from the picture it's hard to tell there carbon fiber. Those black stripes with the outer pinstripe look killer. I could try that plasti dip, never used it before. If it sticks out like a sore thumb being black I'll do the carbon fiber. Does the carbon fiber scratch easy I've never had it before on anything.
