Running Pony Puddle Lights

Has any one given any thought to adding a toggle switch for the running horse puddle lights to turn them on at any time.

No, but that would be cool and not to hard to do. Wonder how legal it is.

My pony lights are exceptionally scratched up (although there is no damage to the lens). Is replacing the light unit in the mirror the only way to correct?

Yes, replacement is the only way to correct it. I had mine replaced before the warranty expired. They need it again now. They don't cost much if I remember correctly so I have it on my to-do list.

They cost $17 - $20 ea from Auto Nation (online), but double that at your local Ford Dealership (Auto Nation is actually a Ford Dealer).

EDIT: I just noticed that the prices went up, but they are still cheaper there ($28 now) versus a local Ford Dealership.
