License plate LEDs
So, this might sound easy and rhetorical, but what has everyone done for License Plate LED's? I want to get rid of the yellow/amber stock look, but i wouldn't mind adding some color. However, I know down here in Florida, that blue/red are quite frowned upon. So, I was wondering where they purchased their aftermarket LED's, how much, what color, and if there is a particular type of LED fitment that works with the license plate fitments. Thanks all!

If you want an OEM clean and classy look, the LEDriving bulbs from Sylvania are the way to go. You need their 6418 bulb for the license plate bulbs. I've used a lot of aftermarket LED bulbs in the past and the Sylvania bulbs are the best I have used so far. A lot of these aftermarket LED license plate bulbs are super bright. Who needs that much light on their tag? The Sylvania LEDs have a clean pure white look that is the same brightness as factory. No cheap looking blue tint. You can pick them up locally at Autozone. I'd stay away from colored bulbs, especially blue and red, as you are just asking to be pulled over by the cops. I also went with the Sylvania 194 bulbs for the interior map lights and they look fantastic.

I just bought the Diode Dynamics license plate and maps lights this past week and am very happy with them so far. I didn't want lights that were too bright so I went with their stage 1 lights and they are perfect for me. They are about the same brightness as stock, just with a clean white light.

I installed Diode Dynamics map, trunk and plate package back in February. I went with stage 2. I think they are great.
