Lowering guestion

Im about to start purchasing the products to lower my V6. I plan to go with shocks, struts and springs. Everything I read says to go with caster chamber plates.

From what I have read koni has new shocks and struts to be a direct replacement will the chamber plates still be needed and why?

Yes, the new Konis are direct replacements, but you will need something to adjust camber when you are lowered. You can get away with camber bolts, but the plates are stronger and easier to adjust and allow caster adjustment too. They are much more pricey, though, so maybe look for a used set if cost is an issue. I bought used and they work great. Maximum Motorsports' allows the most adjustment I believe, but I've hear good things about the Ground Control plates too. You'll likely need a panhard bar too to recenter the axle if you drop more than an inch or so.

FKstang, let us know if we can help you out at all. What are your goals for your mustang? We have some killer pricing on Konis along with BMR and the like. Shoot me a pm and we can go over some packaging that I'm sure you'll be pretty happy with:)

nothing wrong with using camber bolts. 29 bucks or 250 bucks to do basically the same thing. Unless your going to go road racing often just get the bolts.

Don't know about the OP, but I'm gearing up to road race often! :D
