'14 V6 Traction Control Question
Hello everybody,
Over the summer I became the owner of my baby (black on black 2014 V6). I am a somewhat spirited driver and love having fun in my car (safely, of course). It is now second nature that I press the traction control off button when I start my car. My question is how can I turn off the stability control as well. Is it different for the 2014s? I have a friend with a 2012 and all he has to do is put his car in neutral and hold down the traction control button for 5 seconds and the screen pops up saying stability control off... I was wondering why it never tells me it is turned off. Traction control off just toggles traction control on my car...Anybody with a 2014 V6 that could give me some wise words would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys. |
Make sure your holding the brake as well at a complete stop. Might take longer than 5 sometimes

I tried it this morning. I have a 2014 V6 manual trans.
Car in neutral, engine running, foot on brake - hold traction control button for 5 seconds - display on dash states "Advance Trac Off". When you simply press the button it states "Traction Control Off" I have a premium and can change steering effort between Normal, Sport, and Comfort. When stability control is turned off it locks the steering in Sport mode. |
V6 does have a second stability control off option on it. We only have traction control off.

Yeah these guys are right. If you have an auto, put it in S and then hold it for five seconds. Should say advance trac off.
|
Yeah i meant for manual trans. I don't know about autos.

Have a 2014 manual too and can deactivate the Advance Trac as described so no difference to the automatic models  |
I dont know if the v6 will have it, but My '13 GT/CS has a sport mode for the traction control. foot on the brake and double tap the TCS button and it should come up saying Sport Mode activated, or something like that.

just loosens the noose on the traction control/stability control before the nannys kick in.

V6 Sport Mode was only on Performance Package cars :nice:
If I did it all over again I'd get a V6 base with performance package and recaros. Well I'd really get a 5.0 but you know what I mean. |

Seems like each day I regret a little more not getting that package.
