Why is everyone out of gt500 axlebacks??
I've been trying to get them for 2 months and everyone is out. I ordered my Saleen wheels today from A M but they're still out of the axlebacks. Why the back order?? Anyone know why they're not available?

I don't know for sure but I assume it's because of demand, I have them. And I a lot of people like the sound for half the price of other options. Just order them and play the waiting game, I had to do it with my cali/sp chin and I only waited about a week before it was shipped.

I know it's been said a 1000 times already, but for the money the Roush's are the way to go IMO. Unless you're going more for a sleeper sound. From what I've listened to, borla has a similar sounding set to the gt500s, but 3 times the cost.

Thanks. I prefer the borla sport catback over every system but the bang for your buck factor with gt500s without resonators can't be beat. I have considered the rouschs but you guys are too loud! Lol

I think it's the 'tone' of the GT500 axleback sound....it really accentuates the V8 musclecar sound, as you'd expect from a chambered muffler. And you cannot beat the price...I got mine for ~ $260 delivered from CJ Pony parts! And since my plans call for a bigger H-pipe in the future, the chambered mufflers are a great match.
The bullet-style mufflers are definitely louder if that's what you're wanting, and seem to be what people buy when they install an X-pipe.

The combination of mellow/muscular sound, cheap price and OEM drone levels (or lack thereof) is really hard to beat.
I like them...they're still mean sounding but completely non pretentious.

My dad has the GT500 and I have the Roush . . . his sound good just not nearly as aggressive of a sound which I LOVE!!! Either way both sound much better than stock. The real downside of the GT500 IMO is the tips. They don't stick out or look nearly as polished as the Roush.

I ordered some mid June and was told yesterday expect Aug 12. Of course I was told 2 -3 weeks, than July 28. I would have backed out and bought some Roush but everyone says they are best bang for the buck.
