Track Apps

Anyone compare times on the track apps with their times at the track? Just wondering how accurate they are.

Surprising I didn't find any posts when I searched for track apps. Anyway, here's my first run with using the Track Apps 0-60 timer. I was at a stop light on a highway where the speed limit was 55. I figured that was as good a time as any. I took off like a normal take off except that I just laid into the throttle as soon as I let off the clutch. Shifted around 6-6500rpm. Running the a/c and with 270lbs extra in the car (son and nephew). I ran 0-60 in 5.4 seconds. Check it out.

Good to know.

Now I just have to hope I can figure out how to better launch and shift when I try out the local 1/8th mile track. My street test 0-60 obviously wasn't ideal but a little more typical of what I'd do on the street if I were say...trying to beat a Camaro to the next light...not that I'd ever do that .

I have wanted to try the track apps before! Have not found a decent place locally to do so. No safe place really. Guess I need to look harder! With the MT82 does the timer start when you move or when you hit the accelerator to bring up your RPM before you let the clutch out? Watched a video of a auto car with track apps and he complained that he could not "Stage" the car. That the timer started when he pushed the accelerator, not when he took his foot off the brake and started to move.

I believe it's when you start moving

I squeezed a 4.7 0-60 on my track apps on my local "test track." But dang did I ever have a lot of wheel hop. I'm still getting used to launching the car, but the MGW really makes it easy to bang thru the gears.

Here's mine

Not to bad for a deserted highway, traction control on, and stick tires.

Best I got was 4.9 sec 0-60 with all stock Manual, 3.31 gear ratio, and no stickies.

The trap time is just a shade under what a GT should get, and having TC on would explain that. I ran a 12.75 @ 113 at the strip on stock Brembo package tires. I've heard the Autos can expect around 111-112 stock.

Some nice numbers here. I forgot I had Traction Control on too . Hoping to get to the track in the next few weeks to get a real test of my 1/8 mile and 0-60.

I got a 4.9 0-60 when I tried playing with the track apps for the first time, and I left the traction control on because I figured at least I wouldn't spin to bad in second
