Too soon to tune???

I have never tuned a car so I was looking for advice. My 2014 GT has 2k miles and I am waiting to get my Bama tune which I ordered over the weekend with a CAI. Do I need to wait longer before I tune the V8 or have others done it this soon with good results?

Personally, if I were you, I would wait at least a couple thousand more miles just to make sure no issues pop up before voiding the warranty. Just my $.02.

There is no concrete information out there that states a certain amount of miles are needed before you run a tune. All my cars had less than 100 miles on them before I either tuned them or slapped a blower on them. Never had one issue other than a transmission.

I do have some concerns about voiding my warranty so soon, being that this is my daily driver. I have a AEM CAI on the way as well that does not have to have a tune so I may just put that on and wait another couple months before I flash it. I'm driving from Charlotte to Ohio for the fourth, so I think I may just drive the hell out of it all the way and if all goes well just pull the trigger on the tune when I get back. My 2013 GT had 25k miles before I traded it and I never had any issues so that gives me additional confidence in the coyote. Fingers crossed on this mod, hopefully these Bama guys know their ****!!

You should consider going to pro-dyno in fort mills and getting a dyno tune. Pretty close to you. Would go myself if I was a bit closer.

With your location I would either get a VMP tune or go over to Pro dyno. Only issue I've found with pro dyno is he's very expensive and he does not offer revisions. We've thrown some VMP tuned cars on his dyno and was impressed how good the VMP tunes were.

I changed the original oil and installed steeda 93 tune & cai at 1,000 miles. 19,000 & over 2 years later, couldn't be stronger.

Well K&N/AEM intake and Bama tune are in. Driving from NC to Ohio for vacation and when I get back it is oil change and install time!! AEM intake looks great and is closed box so I don't have to worry about hood vents. Luckily I had a white shift **** to install and hold me over till next week!

The aem intake looks great. Love that it uses the best from the airraid/steeda design in keeping the duct but also looks so clean with the cover. Plus slight gains without needing a tune. And the dry flow filter is a plus.
