SVT Mufflers on GT
 

So does anyone have the 11 SVT mufflers on the new 5.0? The price looks really good but I am concerend about possible drone. So if anyone that has these and could chime in I would appreciate it.

I believe Shaun (stinger1982) has them on his....

Shaun had them at one point. I'm not 100% sure which exhaust he has now.

zero drone, best tone on the market.

Ford racing is Going to sell the GT-500's out of the catalog :)
I recommend them very highly

Overboost, currently the car is on its 3rd exhaust setup with 3" pipe from the H back and Dynomax race bullets

Been hoping to hear Shaun drop in on this thread. Thanks man! It's hard to judge the sound without hearing them in person or getting first hand reviews.

The first time I heard the sound sample on the ford parts site I thought "hey, that sounds pretty **** good for that kind of money." Then I heard the tail end of the clip where you can hear the car take off, and my eyes got real big like a kid on christmas morning.

I've heard them on Shaun's car, and I agree with what he said. I really like the way it sounds with jsut the axle backs on, and I may end up with them in the near future.

Tousley Ford has them for 240-250 plus shipping. Best deal in town.

I tried searching by part # and they're not listed. Did you search by Ford Racing part # or just going through the catalog for each muffler as a replacement part?

I just e mailed them and they gave me price and shipping cost.

Is there any reduction of weight from stock 5.0 mufflers?
 

Im thinking Flowmaster Hushpower or GT500 exhaust?? thoughts? same sound? which one weighs less? does either one turn color on tips?

A lot of people complain the Hushpowers have terrible drone.

haha I just called Tousley and they said that some other people had called about these. I am assuming is was some of you lol. These are on back order till Nov but I told him to put me on the list and that for $250 I have no problem waiting. Thanks for the info guys.
