Roush cai or upgrade needed
Found great deal on roush cai or should I look for jlt, k&n, steeda... Just thinking performance wise. Didn't know if any roush owners were happy with theirs or switching to different company. Thanks for your input. Happy thanksgiving!

In my area of Northeast Kansas, there is a Ford Dealership that has an in house Roush performance shop. The great thing about the Roush CAI is it can be used without a tune (by leaving the insert in the MAF tube) and if installed by Ford, no awkward warranty issues. It does let your engine breathe better thereby giving you a more pleasing exhaust note and maybe give you a small increase in ponies (3-7 HP). However, for more serious performance you will need a 110mm Intake tube, such as JLT. The drawback is this requires a tune and can lead to questions about warranty coverage. The gain in performance is much greater, approximately 30HP, and perhaps an increase in mileage (depending of driving style).

our car came with a CAI from the factory that works better than most if not all of the open intakes on the market that suck in hot air.

His output should put down close to 370 rwhp stock.
As buddy said... Good luck with the bama tune....
After a few days of running your car with it... I'd recommend checking #8 and # 1 spark plugs just to check for lean conditions.

Sense then I have put on a vortech v-3... I decided to get a remote tune with Lund racing.
Worked with Jon through the process and couldn't be happier.
Excellent tune and recommend him.
Seen a lot of tunes with my set up have lean out conditions at high RPM range ( white plugs )
Where mine burn excellent.
Just a recommendation dude

Thanks for all the advice guys. I've done a lot of reading on different forums. Tons of different opinions and stories on this subject. Very interesting. I'm installing mine Thursday and we'll see what happens. I've seen very good reviews and bad ones. I'm not looking to race the car or abuse the snot out of it. I'm sure some guys are doing that. I Just want liven up the car a bit. After awhile the car got boring with my roush ab. I've heard nothing but good from Lund and steeda btw.

One thing I haven't done yet is really get on it because it's been pretty cold and I'd be slipping everywhere, so come spring time! But it was pretty loud at 5k lol
So what do you think my rwhp is. After tune, intake, o/r h pipe, roush ab.
I put it on performance tune

If it's a 93 octane tune and with your mods... I'm guessing your right around 420 rwhp
