Ram air intake

Just wondering if there is a "ls1 like" ram air intake that goes in the grill rather than to the side; a few google searches found nothing.

That's a chevy thing LOL! I surely do wish vararam had a system out for our 5.0. You could however get the shaker.

or do like myself and others have and remove the foglights and put a painted black mesh there! it looks like the boss setup and it gives a direct path of cold air to the factory cold air duct behind the drivers side foglight!

WMS makes a front mounted CAI. Click here...

Now if the hood had an opening to feed that ram air.

Now we are talking!

I was hoping somebody designed a ram air intake such as OTR and vararam. If WMS is anything like vararam than this would be one hell of a intake. Nice find brian:)

Has anyone tried this intake? If so, any gains/surging?

steven46746 Oct 1, 2012 06:41 PM

Just wonder if this intake is worth the extra 50-80$; seems like more brands would use this design, I mean what's better than straight in. Who cares if it looks like a gm rip off. ;)

where is the air going to come from? I see it says ram air but when your hood is shut there is going to be no airflow to that area!

Innovationguy13 Oct 2, 2012 05:43 PM

Quick question. If you change out the front grill and put mesh is there any chance you could suck water into the CAI? This would be catastrophic for the motor

you also need a tune to take advantage of the much increased airflow.
