Park assist?

I'm pretty sure my car came with this? I have no clue what this is. But like on other Fords this is the parallel parking thing, right? Had my car since 10/4/10, so sound even dumber for asking this, but will mine do this? If not, anyway to add this feature? My peripheral vision & depth perception is not there anymore! I just can no longer park that way. Thanks!

Probably shouldn't have posted that here, but wanted you to know I have a 2011 GT.

Eli...I have never heard of this option being offered on the Mustang. I am not sure which other models it may be on, with the exception of the new Fiesta..only because I saw ad for it.

Yeah, I don't know. I looked @ a specs page from the website of my car on the way to buying it. I saw something like 'park assist' on it. My salesman was as dumb as I was. I have reason to be, he doesn't. I'll try & find that stuff later.

He couldn't answer a single question I asked. The salesman I spoke with wasn't there, so I got this loser. I found a list of cars with it & Mustang wasn't listed. I just wondered. Thanks again!!

No problem...just for the heck of it, I googled "Ford Park Assist" and came up with a whole page of links..

http://www.google.com/search?q=Ford+...rlz=1I7ADRA_en

This may answer your questions and give you a better idea about the product. I hope this helps.

It definitely does not have "park assist". I think it has "speeding" assist on all models of the mustang. I tend to get speeding tickets easier in this car than anything else I drive.

I think maybe 'hill assist'. Push the button on the left side of the 'automatic shifter', you'll see a light that looks like a car going down hill light up in the speedometer, tach, cluster. It keeps the transmission in 5th gear so you don't have to ride the brakes as much for long streches of down hill highways.

Nope, I saw park assist. Know this cuz on the way I made myself a list of ?'s to ask. I asked them & wrote the answer beside them. Park assist is blank! I saw & tried hill assist, it does rev up rpm's, so makes car sound better. Was speeding assist for real or where you joking? Is that maybe why my autodisown shifts like a manual? That's just badda$$!!

Before posting, I Googled it. I saw that 1 list that didn't have Mustang on it. Couldn't find anything else, so I posted. Thanks!!

I wish it did have park assist and I regret not getting rear camera cause I can't park this car worth a nickel and I see fine. Hard for me to judge where the front and rear bumper are.

Agreed. Luckily the harnesses for the reverse sensors and back up camera are still in the car on my 12. Just need the correct parts and it should just plug right in.

Mom has back-up camera in her Pilot & did has it in her tahoe. I don't use it when backing up. I have always been great @ backing up. I now do better @ seeing where rear is than where front is parking front first. I need to play with the cameras more, I guess.

I didn't get to pick options my car came with. Even if I did, prob would have got the exact same car.

I wish I could get a definitive answer about the 11. I have the factory Navi but not the camera, so would love to install the camera if the harness is there. But read several forums and nobody can say if the harness IS or IS NOT there.

Take off the trunk liner and look. It's a few simple push pin fasteners.

This was not an option. In my opinion, it would be sacreligious to have this on a car. We should know how to parallel park by now!
