Painted engine covers

I am thinking of having my engine cover painted. I know I've scene posts with awesome looking ones but I think they were hidden in engine dress up threads or what have you down recently threads. I'd love to see and hear about the service and locations that do excellent work in custom painting engine covers. I live in California, any west coast or even local so so cal places would be great. Thanks everyone.

Not from our forum, but here you go. Also, if you scroll down, it lists how to do it yourself, step by step.

I painted mine two weeks after purchase of the car. I worked Paint & Body and NEVER use any silicone type cleaner/spray on the parts before you paint them. If you have used any of that type stuff, simply purchase a new 3-piece set from Ford Racing/American Muscle. The parts are new and only cost about $130...a LOT cheaper than a dealership parts dept. When new, the parts can be prepped and painted by any shop, and if you want any custom, simply "prep" them (tape off) before hand. Good luck.

That's beautiful. Did you paint it yourself? I'm honestly looking to find a place or person in so cal where I can drop it off and have it done.

JLT Performance does nice underhood paint work. I just had them do a set of custom coil covers for me in Deep Impact Blue and they came out nice. I am still deciding on what custom color scheme I want to do with the engine cover to compliment it at the moment.

They will do custom hydrographics/paint combinations layouts if you talk to them about it:

See the Boss intake post, there's a pic of mine. Those are the stock covers, cleaned up, shot red, then cleared. They've been holding up great.
