Need help with suspension
I have a 2013 gt 5.0 i bought it with eibach prokit springs as i seen them. I recently threw on 295s on the back and im hitting fender when im going over bumps. Would switching to stock springs still be hitting?
Side note I have Some play on my rear wheel driver side. It looks like your wheels do not have quite enough offset, so the tires are "poking" a little, and that's why they hit the fenders when the suspension travels. This can also happen if you put on tires that are too wide for the wheels; the wheels were designed with the right offset for narrower tires that fit the wheels properly. More offset effectively tucks the wheel under the car more.
If the rear only hits on one side, you can correct that with an adjustable panhard bar. Your car already has a panhard bar, that's what holds the axle under the car side-to-side, but you might need an adjustable one. From your description it sounds like the rear axle needs centering, but I'm not sure about the play that you mention. |
Here are 295/35 19s on mine with 47.5 mm offset 10 inch wide wheels with the rear lowered 1.25 inches. You do have a Panhard bar from the factory, and if it is factory you can get and adjustable one to move it over to the right a little bit.
