My Kenne Bell 2.8LC blower
Out of curiosity, is there no larger diameter throttle body available for these cars? I'm not sure what type of difference it would make but the stock TB on that setup looks like a bottle neck.
I say that without too much concern whether or not there IS a larger diameter TB since these things are already making big power but, you never know. I've never seen a bigger TB = less power.

FRPP 90mm I don't believe it is out yet
GT500 dual blade
KB 168 single blade
That huge intake tube and inlet manifold make the stock tb look tiny!

THe front fascia needs to be removed to access the filter.
Wish I could say things were going great but I had the cats fail and cause major engine damage.
It's a long story and pretty frustrating to boot.I'm having the motor rebuilt with forged internals and dropping the compression to 10:1 and will not run cats with the new exhaust that will include longtube headers.
I'm biting the bullet on this one and hope in the end it will work out and I can enjoy my 5.0 once again.

In for details.
Did the ceramic melt from higher exhaust temps and cause the engine to overheat?
I guess this is a good note to all the guys running blowers... ditch those cats! (or at least get the stainless steel magnaflow race cats)
man that sucks to hear! best of luck with the rebuild. That's a tough one to swallow but in the end that motor will be much happier.
are you going to be using the ported/boss heads or different cams as well?

Wow, really sorry to hear that. I wonder if it has anything to do with having to run the mixture rich to control detonation with the high compression ratio. Maybe too much unburnt fuel going into the exhaust.
I assume you were running a custom dyno tune and not a canned one?
I'm planning on going FI maybe 6 months from now, when I get the cash scraped together and would appreciate any info you can supply.

OUCH! That sucks! and not in the friendly girl you just met while walking your dog kind of way. I can't imagine taking that kind of hit right after you went through all the expense of getting the blower. As I'm sure you know we all feel for you and hope you come through this with a car you like even more and perhaps more importantly, runs consistently well.
SORRY about your troubles.
