Over 7 months now and I can't imagine driving without it. Clutch Pedal reach is perfect!

My clamp screws were starting to back out so I put blue loc-tite on them. Other than that, no issues so far after 7+ months.

It's a $5 piece of plastic that's been out for 7 months now. I'm surprised AM or someone else doesn't have a cheaper alternative.

I would hope that anything Im attaching to the pedals of my car is a little beefier/sturdier than a "$5 piece of plastic". Why not just strap a happy meal container on there? Youll be fine and it costs about $5.

I balked at the price as well, initially, but then I realized that this company was basically one guy working out of his garage and contracting the manufacturing, which is a pretty expensive proposition. Not to mention, it takes an enormous amount of time and effort to do all the R&D required.

Kevin took the time to do that, and make a product I need, so I chose to spend $74 (yes, that's how much it was when I bought mine!) to support his business. Since so many people have bought them, he has been able to lower his price to $50. I prefer to support small businesses when I can. It seems you do not share that feeling.

I don't know what angle you're coming at this from, but I assure you, the extension is much, much sturdier than a $5 piece of plastic.

I believe you. I was basically just saying you get what you pay for.

Nope, I support whatever supports my wallet. You don't obtain money by throwing it away.

I assure you the materials are only worth $5. It's just ABS plastic. Put it in a mold and done. His costs come from outsourcing and R&D. I understand that but if a bigger company took this on they could churn them out for much cheaper, which is why I'm asking if anyone else has yet.

You realize that if everybody does what you suggest, there will no longer be any incentive for anybody to invent anything, right? Though, if you're so short-sighted that you can't see past your own wallet, I supposed you wouldn't.

Just installed mine. Thanks for the installation tip hawkeye. It was hard enough to get the pad on the extension without it on the pedal but then it was easy to get the assembly on the pedal with the pad mounted.

If that's the case, you need to buy 5 or 6 of them.

Those who think they are normal are farthest from it.

Just ordered and thanks for the info!
If I fabricated this myself it would take at least two hours and that puts the value at well over $100, so I got it for half price. Plus I didn't want to mess with it.

This extension is just the ticket.

We just bought our 2008 Mustang GT in June this summer and I have been meaning to make an extension using some 1/8" steel plate and spacers, some welding, and drilling ...
... and was going to do it tonight as wife was out with a friend shopping and I was gonna have it in the car as a surprise .... and before attacking it, I looked to see if anyone had already killed that dragon ..... and they had. 1-1/2" is about perfect, I'm ordering tonight.

My prior cars with manuals, dating back to the '60s muscle cars I've owned ... all had the clutch pedal some couple - three inches higher than the brake as did about all std shift cars back then .... and so they all should now.

If this seems strange, consider that ...
... if the brake pedal goes to the floor, you have a problem ...
... so why should a clutch pedal allow the left foot to go all the way to the floor to disengage properly or start a car?
Both feet are attached to legs leading from the same hip.

No problem with the gas pedal.

You're a prototype of an average man?
