None whatsoever. When I'm cruising it's like stock.

So to take the resonators off; you have to have a shop cut them and then reweld straight pipe in its place, correct?

That's my understanding. If it's a good shop you shouldn't have any problems. The shop around here charges like $50 for it.

I don't have the Gt500's but I can tell u that I went from a catback to just an axle back in the rear, and the resonators really tone down the sound. If your looking for louder and don't care about that pansy **** drone, then do it.

Sorry for the poor audio, but here is a video of mine. This was also on a warm start up.

No resonators:

Just got home; Gt500's installed -resonators (replaced with 3" pipe). Absolutely love it. Best 250 bucks I've spent on the Car. I would do a video but all I have is a Droid. The best video on here is RobDis link which is a good representation. Mine sounds no different except my car is an Auto.

Up until today, I had that garbage Heartthrob catback exhaust on my car. It had no resonators but had the Hushpowers. This morning, I took it back to the muffler shop and had the stock exhaust (with resonators) put back on with the Flowmasters. I enjoy the car again.

No resonators on the car makes it sounds (to me) like an old pick-up truck. It sounded obnoxious in a bad way. Going back to stock with the Flows is like heaven. Just my opinion but now I've had it both ways and wouldn't go without the resonators. It obviously droned and it made this surging noise at freeway speed.

You said it yourself. It was the garbage heart throb system. Gt500's w/o resonators is my second favorite system next to the borla sport catback.

How about the Heart Throb muffler deletes (or any other delete kit) WITH the resonators?

I installed GT500s this weekend with the car on ramps and I love 'em! They sound perfect with windows down, in my opinion.

That being said, I would like them to be just a little louder, as I do a lot of driving with windows up, so resonator delete is on my mind. However, I don't want to cut the stock exhaust.

Has anyone installed over the axle pipes by JPC, which have no resonators? If so, is it doable on ramps or I will I need a lift? They look to be very well made and would allow me to keep the stock exhaust intact.

Got the GT500s on a couple days ago, the sounds is much much better. I'm loving it. The best part is the burble/pop/crackle sound as the revs lower when you let off the throttle to shift. Muffler shop told me 40 bucks to delete the resonators and weld pipes in. I read in a post (i thought it was this one but i guess not) that deleting resonators takes away the burble. If that's true im not doing it, that's ther best part IMO!
