FRPP X-Pipe......>

Just received today. I haven't seen these advertised or discussed and my seller indicated they had just been released. Dunno, maybe one of the first or I just hadn't seen them out there..
Nicely made, Big "X" area and pretty affordable especially when compared to the Magnaflow at twice the price. Install tomorrow, we'll see how it works!

Had mine installed 2 weeks ago, your going to like the result. I have the following combo: FRPP pro cal tune,FRPP xpipe,Roush axelbacks. Sounds beastly to say the least.

Nice looking into this per Big Papi's positive review. Looking forward to your review as well.

I'm still digging the silver stripes Steve. Can't wait to hear this

Automagically 4/22/11 03:22 PM

Nice. You gonna lay pipe to your car now?

DaSFGiants4Life 4/22/11 03:24 PM

Edit:

Since it re uses the same cats a tune is not required correct?

DaSFGiants4Life 4/22/11 03:32 PM

AM is selling these too for 209.99 shipped if anyone is Interested.

If a tune is not required and there is a big difference in sound then I'll jump on these.

Overboost 4/22/11 03:35 PM

This looks good. Better than the Corsa one with a clamp right in the middle of it.

You do NOT need a tune to run the X-pipe, your cats are between the H/X-pipe and the exhaust manifolds/headers. The only troublesome spot I found was getting the front most clamps loose. The nuts were mounted facing up, so clearance is a PITA when you first remove the stock system.

m4a1mustang 4/22/11 03:36 PM

I wouldn't think there'd be enough of a difference in flow to make a re-tune necessary. I might jump on one of these after I get Steve's take on it... I have always been a fan of X-pipes over H in terms of pure sound.

Too many Steve's are in this thread.

That's where I got mine plus they were having a spring sale 10 or 15% I think I paid something weird like 193.00 after tax and shipping which I think is free anyway.

I think it adds bass and takes the rasp out of the Roush axelbacks. I will do an outside video in the next couple of weeks and you guys can judge for yourselves.

No tune it's a direct replacement for the H pipe reuses the same clamps so when you order you just get the xpipe no other hardware.

Awesome!! Thanks man. Would love to add some bass and take out some of the rasp from the Roush AB's.

Looking forward to the vids Paul.

Tune may not be 'required', BUT, Mine ran lean when I simply swapped it with the H pipe. The sound softened abit. I had a tune run up for it on the fly on the dyno. Picked up 20 hp when it was done.
