~ Exhaust Video! GT500 AxleBack, JBA H-Pipe, No Resonators
Well I am going to have my JBA 3"/3" H-Pipe installed tomorrow, so I wanted to get a "Before" video of the GT500's by themselves for comparison.
BEFORE....
GT500 axle Back STOCK everything else:
AFTER......
GT500 axle Back, JBA 3" in/out H-pipe w/ NO resonators:
I will update this thread on Tuesday (Hopefully) once I get the h-pipe installed!
Here is a pic of the h-pipe itself:

Got the H-Pipe installed....Resonators are not cut out yet (My exhaust guy has been busy)
The install was really easy! Took less than an hour start to finish, hardest part was getting those 1/2" bolts off the front pieces of the stock h-pipe! (HINT: Loosen them with a wrench then use a set of vice grips on the end of the bolt to turn it off) BE SURE you seat the front ball connectors well, I had an exhaust leak out of the DS one and had to re-adjust it!
I wish I would have weight the two now....didn't think about it at install. But I can say that the JBA piece IS lighter!
Slid the over axle pipes into the H-Pipe and was not able to clamp them down since the h-pipe is 3" and the over axle pipes are 2.75".
Started the car up....MAN oh MAN does it sound good, of course I tried feeling for any exhaust air out the back of the car and there was not any (it's all coming out of the h-pipe right now. I had a slight thought that this would sound pretty nice without mufflers at all.....hope I will not be disappointed with the h-pipe welded up to the axle back.
NOTE: I did NOT jack up the car at the pumpkin....the jack is just there as an added safety measure!

Well It's all in and done!
The exhaust shop did an outstanding job and only charged me $60 for removing the resonators and add in the 3" pip in their place. I had them bring the axle back about an inch further to the rear so the tips would line up better with the rear valance.
Car sounds awesome and is exactly what I was going for; Louder yet deeper tone!
Inside the car it has a rumble but NO drone at all!
Video added to first post.

I have the GT500 w/no resonators.....hard to tell the difference in yours with the aftermarket H pipe. In fact, when I played the video, the wife asked when I recorded our car.....

You are doing exactly what I was going to do...exactly. I just am still on the fence about the sound. I just don't know if there are any exhaust pieces that will make the car sound like I want in my head. I know part of it is the crappy audio you get with almost every exhaust video. I don't need HD video for an exhaust video I need HD SOUND! I know there was a thread around on one of the forums talking about the firing order of the 5.0 and how, to some people, it will never sound like they want.
Thanks for the time and effort though. It is appreciated.

Yes...
There is a difference in the sound....if you listen close enough on the video you can hear it, in person it is definitely noticeable!!!!
This is the exact sound I was going for and I am very happy with the purchase/work put in to make this happen.

I did the Heartthrob H-Pipe kit and to me it didn't make any difference in my sound. If anything I felt like it got quieter. My exhaust guy said it probably did due to less restriction (3 inch pipe all the way back to the mufflers). But later on when I get my intake and tune my exhaust will be able to breathe better and I will likely see the difference it really makes there. At least that's what I've been told.
Your car does sound excellent and the video captures the sound of the GT500's very well!

Then as the OP let me add that I have since REMOVED the JBA H-Pipe due to fitment issues.
I am still running the GT500 AB though, stock pipe H-Pipe and stock over axle pipes without resonators ......sounds AWESOME!

Wish I could access the video here at work. This is the setup I'm looking at.
