Caliper Covers
all I'm trying to say is that some people don't have the desire to spend the extra 1000+ on a brake upgrade. If it's just looks they're going for, calipers are a nice touch. And I never said your Fiesta (or Focus?) couldn't beat mine. I'm sure it could as I've done nothing to my car. Fiestas just aren't my cup of tea, that was the intent of it being just a fiesta.
if you are shopping for just calipers that are the same amount of pistons and stock sized its not a lot of money. The caliper covers are like $150 -250.
And that's awesome, what color do you plan on getting?
And I do agree that the covers are too overpriced for what little cosmetic bonus they add.
I agree on the rice thing... rice = all show no go... so yeah.. rice
I have seen these on a lot of cars and me and my friends always make fun of them. I mean whats the point? Its a visual mod and adds nothing to the value or ability of he car.
I would say save up another three or four hundred and get real calipers. TCE is a vendor on the forum and they have amazing prices for a real upgrade.
You do not want my fiesta to have better brakes then a mustang do you?

Does your fiesta "GO"??
I need to see some of the colors in person, but right now I am feeling a black vert with red leather would be nice.
so I am ordering a nice caliper set for my focus st for $529

just $200 more then a plastic cover. I do not mean to bag on the plastic covers but we really do have real options for a real upgrade. I bet you can find Shelby brembo take off's for under 500 on ebay or get some off a 2012 5.0 brembo parts car.

Exactly, how do you talk crap to someone and then throw your fiesta in their face....smh
I think the red leather would look sharp! I saw an Ingot Silver in Baltimore that I think looks awesome, i started a thread with some pictures. That might be very cool with red leather.
fiesta = fun, happy car that get almost 40 mpg
my focus st = "go"
I had many fun "go" cars over the years.
my 2002 svt focus was faster then v6 mustangs of the same year

my v6 mustang was fun and fast when I was 19

but my 2007 was filled with go

my 2006 vert was a wonder truck and a dirty girl

my 2008 Shelby was fast and fun at the track

my little blue fiesta was a must due to snow. This was my first fiesta. The one with the yellow brakes was my 2nd fiesta.

my 2009 mustang had painted calipers

gross(Shelby hood on top)

my focus is getting some yellow brakes soon(2-3 weeks when the coating is done).

Painted stock calipers ONLY look good if you take care of them and don't let them get chipped up.
I painted them on my '03 SVT Focus and "did them up" because the entire brake system was unique to only the SVT Focus. So, that's why i put the SVT logo on mine.

But back the OPs question.... I don't like caliper covers. I think it's a waste of money like fake Pep-Boys vents on the front fenders. Its aesthetic only and is a meant to look like something it isn't.
Like the faux gas cap, random scoops, rear diffuser (idk if that actually works on the Boss/Shelby/GTCS).
They do look good from a distance... but I think there are better options and directions of where to spend money.
I think OEM 2-Pot calipers look great all stock, with good looking drilled or slotted or both rotors. It looks practical, purposeful, and... pretty?

Purely personal taste but in my opinion (since you're asking), they fit into the "rice" category. Sorry... but I think they're tacky. They're like "Type R" stickers or LEDs on the washer nozzles. That money would be much better put into anything else...like gasoline or your next oil change...or put that cash towards a real brake upgrade down the road? That said, the folks who have them seem to be happy and they look ok if you don't know that it's the automotive equivelant of the clip-on tie.

you thin the wheels are bad?? the tail lights were worse. The guy who had it before me also GLUED that neon blue rope all over the interior. The guy was using it as a selling point when I bought the car. I pulled it off with my nephew before we left the guys house. He has such a a look of horror on his face.
pic of said tail lights... I had to ebay a stock set the first week. oh and yes it had a under body glow kit.... gross....
